Nice storm on the way in to work,  flashes of lightning every 5 mins or so, very heavy rain in the squall line too.

Saw lovely lightning driving to work down the m4 about 06:25am

Was just a heavy shower here at 12:30. Typically electrified after passing over me but out of audible range by then. Never mind, there’s always next year

Heavy rain and a bit of thunder and lightning near Reigate. One fed up cat. She wants to go out.

Also seen a post on facebook showing the result of a tornado passing through Widnes

Tried to link to it but its not liking

Piece on BBC NW News this evening about the Widnes tornado. Possibly repeated at 10.30pm if you can get the NW News. Also flooding elsewhere in the NW.

Had near miss of thunder. According to the blitzortung  lightning map that I saw, nearest strike was about 9km to SE. I did not see any lightning as I looked out at the wrong time.

well today was the 25th storm warning we had this year....and the 25th time we have had absolutely nothing.

I will not be taking any more notice of weather forecasts, how can you be that wrong 25 times in a row? the amount of times I had to cancel my plans because of apparent bad weather forecasted and it never happens. Pathetic. I don't know what these people look at.

Wind caught me off guard slightly

Must of been some straight line winds but certainly had a kick to it and forced me to hold a door shut.

I'd normally be with you on this one, being a fellow member of the No-storms Club as well as a resident of S Cheshire, but on this occasion, (and correct me if I'm wrong) I don't think the NW was included in the warning.
