Thunder in Crosby apparently. Not showing on Blitz. Thought the stuff out to sea had died.

Quite frequent thunder and lightning from a cell just to my SW.

Edit: Excellent thunderstorm passing within miles to my south at the moment. Vivid purple lightning and crackling thunder.

Can't believe I'm ecstatic because it's actually raining.

Well, it was raining for about 10 minutes. Anyway, might be more than 1mm if I'm lucky....

After a whopping 5 hours spent on the seafront, a grand total of very distant flashes were seen towards France at around 02:45! I had a great time though, a nice way to end the convective season. I look forward to next season, and hope to see everyone again soon for the convective rollercoaster!

Yep, watched that one myself. Some very bright flashes but couldn't hear any thunder at all up here in Portishead.

Plenty of heavy showers last night but no lightning unfortunately.

I saw a few very dim and distant flashes of lightning around here last night though they were very infrequent.

We also had some showers come through in the early hours.

Sadly 3 aircraft and a helicopter have been written off last night out of the aerodrome I fly in.  Damage was caused by a Tornado in the Stapleford Area.  Very sad.

Finally got round to uploading my footage from Monday morning's squall line that passed through Birmingham. Glad that I managed to persuade my partner to hold off going to work by a few minutes that day- saved them a drenching!

Whoaaa,no ,there is no end to rising air, forced ,heated or any which way, you sound like a snow blower in spring ,please don't put me away  lol ,we still got tropical air kicking about ,I know we have thousands of sq miles of modifier (atlantic) but you have to get into ,freezing fog  ,ground  frosts ,air  frosts, snow showers ,gale force.winds,,drizzle (my favourite )lol ,sleet.,cold heavy rain, its all the same crew really in different places in different seasons ,we would suffer without it all for sure

Weather warnings for wind and rain tomorrow during the day and evening for East, London & SE and SW England. Bit surprised the warnings are not more widespread, with winds in particular due to make a mess in N Scotland tomorrow night and Sunday as the low pressure winds itself up before heading away from the UK.
