Nothing but rain showers here today, only rumblings heard came from neighbours rolling their bins back into place.

Not my photo but I think this was the strike that scared the living wibble out of us. From reports it struck less than a mile from where we were. @LightningLover

Great strike picture, I was at Normans Bay last week, lovely part of the world.

That passed over here about 6.30ish loads of loud thunder and plenty of lightning but no rain!

Whitby will be imminently under attack from severe thunderstorms, wow it looks incredible on my app what’s bearing down on Whitby!…I’m so jealous but at the same time I’m happy for them although perhaps some in Whitby won’t be so happy?…anyway, it’s the stormiest part of the u k right now!!!

That 2nd pic is exactly what our Warehouse does, heavy rain over tops the valley gutters,

Looks to be weakening as it approaches my neck of the woods, the North sea looks lively tho, would make good viewing from Flamborough Head,

Nice little blob on the radar heading towards Hull, don't think it will make it this far, i think the north sea may gobble it up first,
