What I got using the night thing on my camera, even though its green doesn't matter, can see the backend of the Storm leaving now but more to come later.

Nice sky-filling forked lightning! And it's now heading north. I get the feeling the rest is likely to be rain with the occasional "lucky flash".

I assumed today would bring nothing. How nice to be pleasantly surprised!  And there's more brewing in the Channel, too.

I bet you saw the one I did - stunning CC forks splaying across the sky. Honestly one of the most beautiful lightning strikes I’ve probably ever seen actually - just I shame I wasn’t recording it.

I may have just heard the deepest and loudest rumble of thunder in my life, it sounded more like an explosion or sonic boom.

I’ve got a recording of it attached.Loud thunder.m4a

Think it sounded like the one we had years ago in march, did lots of damage though, electrical in the area. Hope it's ok your end.

Evening all

tonights forecast on look north predicted sporadic thundery showers tonight for lincolnshire, however looking at the current radar the band moving north looks less active for storms but heavy rain would not be out of the question as the front passes through overnight.

Looks to be a Brighton show tonight

Yes, round 2 starting with fairly continuous rumbling away to the east of here.

Just 0.6mm of rain from the last lot earlier this evening. Humidity has now increased to 70% and temp still at 18.6. Phew!
