Just heard a rumble here just after a torrential downpour passed. None of the online detectors appear to have detected it although my own one did so it definitely was thunder.

You certainly got lucky it cruised past to the north of us and dropped 30 drops of rain and that was it

This one has rolled towards the coast enough to get us wet, but it’s stopped doing anything interesting, though I spy a hail core on radar radar which I’m hoping doesn’t get this far as we are on foot

It looks like I caught some sort of rotation/shelf mashup earlier.

Not entirely sure quite what was happening but there we are!

The main thing happening where I am or should I say south south east of me has changed the surface winds totally they are all spiralling in towards it

Another pretty quiet evening here in MK but did score an awesome Horseshoe Vortex spinning for about 8 minutes out to the west!

This probably tops off one of the most bizarre things I've seen through timelapsing the sky.

Two shelf clouds meeting, stopping then one turning back? Potty.

I'm smack in the middle of that. Surprised to get that today - haven't seen much in the way of potential for today?

Anyway, here's the convective weather forecast.

Excellent capture. Several potential funnels there by the looks of it

Unlikely to get anything here until this sheet of mist and low cloud does one. Very cool too at 15 degrees.

Yep, caught me by surprise also. I'm guessing that there is some instability at higher layers. I'm sure those far more educated in the ways of the sky than I am will enlighten us shortly...
