Glad you could meet him. I love his videos, his laid back approach and his wonderful music (as you know he composes it himself!).  And his fascination with the wildlife is a bonus. Great guy.

Tip him a nod from a fan when you next chat to him!

Aww thanks, He is literally exactly like that, really nice, funny and chilled, then later he rolled into the same gas station so we had another chat.
Met quite a few of the big names, they are pretty much all nice people.
Will pass that on

CW Forecast

Day 1 Convective Outlook

VALID 06:00 UTC Sat 31 Jul 2021 - 05:59 UTC Sun 01 Aug 2021

ISSUED 07:33 UTC Sat 31 Jul 2021

ISSUED BY: Chris

A broad upper trough will linger across Britain leading to a scattering of showers, a few perhaps heavy with a rumble of thunder into the afternoon.

The area with the largest chance for lightning appears to be a zone across London, Essex and Kent during Saturday due to a combination of around 300-500 J/kg of CAPE and weak surface convergence aided by a little terrain induced lift. There is very little shear in this set-up and profiles aloft are rather warm, so convection may be limited, and in most cases too weak to produce lightning.

Elsewhere the risk of lightning will be low, however convection/showers will likely develop across southern and eastern parts of England as well as in a zone from north Wales southeastwards down through the Midlands and into SE England.

I wonder if Dover will finally get one, wind direction is right, but last time they died before getting here.

Yet again tornadoes were reported in Peterborough yesterday.

‘Tornadoes’ have been spotted in the skies in Peterborough as the city is set to be hit by thunderstorms.

Since 2007 that is now the 4th tornado reported directly over Peterborough.

Haven't seen whether it ever touched down or not. Funnels have been very numerous this year. I want to see one here, they are off the ground and harmless. Not sure I want a tornado charging through though, unless it stays on the numerous hills and field we have here.

I think I'd prefer a brief full-blown storm to the damp, miserable gunge we've got in S Cheshire this morning!

Trust me, been a diabolical summer for stormy weather up here, great if you love cloudy muggy days though with a few hot sunny days in between lol

Same best we've managed is distant channel rumbles, or light ppn left over from dead storms, coming from the SW or the se or the NW.

Today reminds me of how April often used to be, had two heavy showers through here now, twenty mins apart roughly, and more on the way.

There’s not enough solar heating to get things organised, so I think it’s popcorn mode for the rest of the afternoon with numerous heavy and perhaps momentarily electrified showers.

Tabloid media don’t like funnel clouds as they don’t elicit the same fear and concern as tornadoes. The cynic in me thinks the misuse of the term is deliberate

Just heard an impressive peel of thunder from an intense looking cell running to my South. Just another rumble then too! Woohoo - shame it’s not nearer, but more downpours heading this way from London

I'm missing all of it in Ashford currently, although it helps for pictures though, thunder rumbling away occasionally in the distance.

More thunder in Dover. Not much gap between at all. Other one electrically died one the rain got here, wonder what this one will do. Rain has been heavy with every shower that's come over since this morning.
