This cell had no lightning for awhile whilst it was crossing the river but has now electrified again as it passed overhead. Nice little storm.

Heard thunder from it just passed south of me,seems to have gone quiet now

Still going

Two rounds of biblical drizzle in Blofield, the lack of thunder and lightning was genuinely terrifying.

Gripping innit! Another day goes by without my seeing an 'isolated tornado' . . . or any other tornado, for that matter!

Gone much calmer all of a sudden, and a very ominous looking sky creeping up on the SW horizon. Sun still out. This could be the one.

Can still hear it in the distance but infrequent now. Should be approaching WeatherHistory soon. I’m quite pleased because it was a very discreet cell nothing messy. I thought all the energy had gone for today but I was wrong so Perhaps now a chance for some more this evening.

Cheeky little cell popped into my village, dropped this, then ran away InShot_20210728_175746998.thumb.jpg.621b1863b9906ab4547f21f7e500a3bc.jpg

Nearest thing to a storm I've seen all year. Incoming drizzle again no doubt.

Got caught out by a Thunderstorm whilst crossing Westminster Bridge, IC lightning and a boom of thunder after a torrential downpour.

Was so soaked couldn't get any pictures. But those damn drains are struggling now.  Excuse  "Because of COVID"

Here are some pics from earlier...

this was to the south where i heard a boom from

DSC03461.thumb.JPG.32e40d5784b6b6651e29ba55cd6d0e6c.JPG

then this to my SW of which i thought that it would drop a funnel cloud but it didn't

DSC03462.thumb.JPG.d61a1017b2daff173ada8af9b47a4d05.JPG

this wall cloud was developing and heading over from the west, this then produced the storms that where just east of me and now over Humberside,i spotted a funnel cloud on it's arrival but i only caught the last few seconds of it

i spotted another funnel cloud once it past

then the Manc storm was heading this way but it died

this is now and there are more Cb's developing in the W/SW.

Guess thats our chance done for another day now.

I wen't for a walk earlier to measure the wind and I saw building cumulus clouds all around me and a load of anvils to the far northwest and north.

They were too far away to affect us today, didn't even hear any thunder.

Direct hit in South Peterborough, torrential rain, hail and some pretty gusty winds (Probably around 40mph). Also several flashes of lightning per minute too and near constant thunder.
