Got my eye on that storm near Stoke, quick fuel stop and then off to find a vantage point

we are 20 mins up the road and still absolutely nothing here today.

That must be really frustrating as even Holmes Chapel next door gets action too. Does Congleton just taste bad for Thunderstorms or something?

That Northampton cell needs watching! Big hailcore just exploded on it, and lightning rate surging... theme music is starting to play!!

The heavy rain that passed through London earlier has now arrived here. Went from nothing to torrential almost immediately

Also forgot to mention I'm noticing the storm now heading away from me in Cheadle seems to be intensifying as it moves away as I'm still hearing a lot of thunder coming from it, infact weirdly some of it louder than when it was overhead! As though now it's getting CG lightning instead of just intracloud.

Smaller cells developing ahead of the big stuff close to Manchester. Looking increasingly turbulent to the WSW now.

Busy in here today, just got back in from work and that Manc storm looks a monster,...cells developing south of it too but will the pennines kill it?

Just had a Bowling alley pass just to the south again T_T (got clipped by the edge and had about 2 mins of rain  ).  None-stop rumbling for about 10/15 mins, No visible strikes from it, but the cell just a bit further to my south (towards or just past Newcastle) produced 2 (possibly +)cg strikes, nice solid near vertical non flickering bolts that were loud even at my distance from them.

Congleton, as always, in the gap. Storms to north and south but not close enough.

Ooh it's getting close to you though, just to the north west of where you are, just need it to come little further south!
