update from another site

11Z Nottingham ascent indicates Sig CAPE has formed over the Midlands , Eastern England & Northern England.   Thunderstorms have become heavy across Northern England in the left exit region of the strong Jet across the South.   Maximum 300-500mb divergence is across Northern England aloft.  This is allowing for greatest outflow of air, allowing for Tops to easily reach 26,000 or -40C

Storms across parts of N England showing active C/G Lightning and Hail and torrential rain.

Further South Shear is greater but instability and CAPE is lower due to weaker low to mid level lapse rates.   Still an area across the East Midlands, Lincs, parts of East Anglia and Eastern England where the greater instability and higher shear overlap which generates a slight risk of a severe Thunderstorm and marginal Tornado Threat through the rest of the afternoon.

Prob area around the Wash is still a possible area for a more intense Thunderstorm later today with risk of Hail, Possible Tornado.

if this post is not allowed due to rules there or here please let me know

Is it still possible that places like Lincoln could see more later on you reckon? Still early in the day yet though radar seems quiet for us, feels fresher as well

We’ve had two really torrential downpours today. Third incoming - thunder and lightning unlikely but expecting another thumping downpour

Gah! In Reigate we're on the southern limit of this weather again. We're catching an occasional heavy shower but that's all. Most of the time the sun is out.

Enjoy your storms!

The hills are doing a number on these storms as they head ENE, but nevertheless I've managed to head out and see a few CGs and some ICs as well. Probably only about 4 in total lol, but better than if I'd stayed at home ⚡

Plus, the cloudscapes were really nice! All eyes to the west to see if the next batch will hold together

Got my eye on that storm near Stoke, quick fuel stop and then off to find a vantage point

Wow, now with the heavy rain, the lightning is elevated as the strikes are overhead but muted due to the strikes being high up!

This is the shower we just had. Absolutely torrential, but still no storms.

we literally must be the only town in the north west that still hasnt had anything today. About 15 cells have passed us in every direction today but still not close enough to even hear a rumble. Had a small shower around 11am and thats it........its literally incredible how we could be this unlucky. Or lucky if you dont like storms lol
