The cells currently forming over Wales are what EURO4, 2km WRF-NMM and AROME are forecasting to become the monsters to hit EA/Lincs this afternoon, with the DLS increasing.

Already some corkers in the N Midlands and North West. Had a feeling as mentioned over the past couple of days that today was going to be a good one.

Love your optimism! I think I'll have to settle for distant anvils, can't see anything making it to the east east tbh.

The Sun is still out strong here and it’s approaching 20°C. No rain for a few hours and everything is passing to my N or S but don’t think it will be long.

That was worth the wait, although not a direct hit I had a good line of sight to the cell that just passed Buxton 6 miles away with some lightning seen and plenty of thunder rumbles echo'ing around the hills. The precip looked to have that green-tint to it, indicative of embedded hail and confirmed by the NWRadar 'type' so i'm expecting to see a few local reports of this in the coming hour.

These views never get old across the Estuary. A lot of will it or won't it scud over Essex.

sorry for the shaky time lapse i was being bumped around by dogs. this structure to my north looked to be rotating and it’s on the southern side of the storm, could it be a mesocyclone?

Looking at the cells just crossing the border of Wales looks to be a good chance for our area ( Ripe)

Anything like the showing earlier and now ( just listening to hail and thunder) from the Manchester cam....We`ll be happy bunnies

Temp has dipped to 12c here, didn't get a direct bit but heard plenty of thunder.

It now feels utterly miserable out there!

One of me friends in Ireland has taken a picture of one of the anvils of the storms, he's hearing rumbles at the moment.

That one between Gloucester and Worcester I’ve got my eye on. Already looking interesting on radar and electrified. Going to be interesting watching it’s development over the next hour.

Heavy persistent rain here, grey skies and the odd clap of thunder. Quite cool outside now compared to this morning.

Here's the thunder, had a brief moment of  rain with big drops. Been windy this afternoon but now the wind has dropped a lot, gone dark rather quickly now
