Lots of cells popping up all the place now in the UK, and still very early. Wait until the sun gets going, 4pm onwards should be a lot of fun for some

Close rumble now to my south. Another cell.

Nice open view to the west for the incoming cells. Interesting shape to them, just hope they can maintain some strength and provide some exciting cloudscapes

More forming over North Wales too. Last storm had torrential rain that flooded local shopping centre,

Yep looking really good. Didn’t get any rain from the last storm at all.

Heard a very distant but unmistakable positive strike then.

I have the same dilemma quite often. The only thing that helps me is that Belper almost always misses the storms .

this aged well haha, you’ve got some reverse psychology on these thunderstorms

Menacing distant rumbles to my east. Sun has gone in.

Fairly active cell heading towards the Belper area, @Supacell might only have to chase to the bottom of his garden for this one!

Very grey skies here. No signs of brightening up either. Fingers crossed something heads my way later

Had a little fun today so far, but Stoke North to Congleton is stuck in a gap whereas I can see Stoke South got a battering again, that moved and intensified around Cheadle, to the side of Churnet Valley. Looks like Alton Towers got hit hard with lots of lightning around there, also Macclesfield and Sandbach with North-East Cheshire getting fun too. Do feel bad for ya cos you've been wanting storms in Congleton for a while. Everywhere around you is getting them but they miss Congleton!

Just had the most weirdest black cloud overhead and a monsoon for 5 mins. Could hear constant booms from it and then it just stopped and sun is back out now. Nothing showing on the lightning detector either.

Wish I could drive as I'd travel between Gainsborough and Lincoln, might just miss it here. Should see some good clouds but don't think we're going to get a direct hit

Crosby about to get a second storm of the day. Still just Diston rumbles here. Never thought I would be too far south today.
