Is that it for today then, any overnight storms likely?

The NW of England could see activity through the night and into tomorrow morning looking at the UKV solely.

Looking interesting for Lincolnshire

Upon morning assessment, I may chase into Lincs tomorrow. Looks to be  very decent Deep Layer Shear overlapping sufficient CAPE. Although West Norfolk also looks decent. Storms tomorrow could be longer lasting than today from my take on it, with also more potential to become severe.

There was a good little storm in Lincoln 7am this morning, pretty long rumbles of thunder, if we don't get a direct hit tomorrow I'm sure there will be plenty of impressive clouds around

Some pics of the storm that hit Milton Keynes at around 4pm today. Surprisingly didn't notice any thunder or lightning from this one but it sure was looking quite mean as it got closer and closer with what looked like a wall cloud as part of it a few miles off to the south too (2nd image).

Looks to be more CAPE around tomorrow in a swathe from N England down across the Midlands and across to Wales.

Saw a similar thing on Sunday - no lightning, significant rain or wind but definately something trying to develop

My area is under a SVR and MDT risk today. I will be chasing but hopefully won't have to go far. I probably won't even need to leave the house . However my plan is to get alongside the A38 or M1 for an easy route north.

Estofex kind of at odds with other forecasts. They have the overlap of shear and CAPE much further south.

Is up to 1000j/kg considered marginal?

Such a tough one for me! My head is doing cartwheels here! Last thing I want to do is miss a humdinger on my patio and have a hard time chasing, as these will be fairly pacey storms today, other than previous days! The stuff in S Wales looks to be heading straight for me at the moment.

That jetstreak is certainly helping. 15z GFS sounding from within Norfolk goes a bit potty

Earliest I can get out of work is 3pm, car will need some fuel then I'll be off, will it be too late, who knows?!

May still have time, as I would expect activity to still be going on until 20:00, possibly later, albeit the most active/electrical stuff will be transferring east as the hours go on.

Good amount of shear today, could be some interest!

Looking interesting today. Worried about the flow direction but hopefully should just about be alright for me. I love it when things are fast moving, hate being stuck under a decaying cell for ages.

From my bedroom window at only 10:15! Can physically see the tops being tilted towards the East above. Very decent shear up there by the looks of it already.

I have the same dilemma quite often. The only thing that helps me is that Belper almost always misses the storms .

Gorgeous cloudscapes here on the South Coast this morning . Met Office has a few thunder symbols for us but we're not in the warning area so ...

@East_England_Stormchaser91 I would be careful about going too far away from home today. I am no expert but PJB over on another site indicates an area around The Wash into Norfolk later, and he is quite a viable forecaster from my experience.
