Hey - if there’s no wind where you are does that mean you’re directly under the CZ?

The best way to know is to watch the clouds. See if they’re going in opposing directions or even rotating.

We have thunder here in Reigate!  Stuff passing to the west of me but too far away to see lightning. At least the humidity has dropped off.

As usual, activity actively avoid Reigate. Sigh.

Had some heavy rain but nothing exceptional. Heard a few rumbles of thunder but no visible lightning yet - I suppose that counts as a storm.

Looks like there may be more to come.

WOW. One of closest cgs ever witnessed, awesome positive shotgun boom.

The storm out Robertsbridge way looks epic from where I am with a load of really low scud, almost looks as though its scraping the ground

Bah. I'm just a wee bit east of the Amber Zone.

I can see the storms over Dorking way. Enjoy, @Bumpydogz!

And there is! Heavy rain again and a CG nearby (I think), set off a car alarm.

True! But I got two hours of cracking storms yesterday morning which I wouldn’t have had if I had stayed home

Swear I just heard a very distant thud of thunder ironically - that CZ looks as if it’s slided every so slightly south eastwards

That would give me the willies, seeing that. Good photo and thanks for sharing. Keep away from metal structures!

We’ve had a little sun but i think it’s pretty much game over anywhere west of what is now the main line of storm.

Amber warning out for parts of Surrey/London and surrounding areas. Looks a little too West unless things are going to shunt over?

Looks as so parts of London could have problems again with flash flooding if this line of storms keeps going.....

I can confirm there has been thunder right now in Ashford, also had a torrential downpour 2 hours ago at lunch time I thought it was hail but it was giant raindrops pounding our titles and even got some moss off our roof from the impact it was giving
