What's the storm potential for next weekend, specifically the Sunday?

I'm working outside at a football match in Leeds and I can't dry my uniform for the following work week.

Impossible to say at the moment with a hurricane going into the mix.

If the 6z gfs is right then next weekend could be very nice!

When people say the summer holidays are void of any warm weather, they must be right. The week schools closed, it was warm. The week schools open, it's warm.

Well we had one day with some decent sun. Back to the clag today. The leeks on the allotment have now bolted they are sick of this perpetual autumn.

At least tomorrow onward looks to be warm and sunny for a few days at least, what happens after that depends on what hurricane Larry does to perturb the mid-latitude flow as it recurves.

The gfs has been woeful with cloud amounts for the past 2 weeks!!this has to be one of the most cloudy glum periods of weather for the last 14 days in this part of the midlands that ive ever witnessed!!i can remember only on two occassions where the sun came out and that was only for a few minutes!you would think its more like end of october start of november temperatures aside!!!cant wait for this cloud to clear off for tomorrow!!

Jo Farrows summary of summer 2021 available to read now but the general theme can be picked up with these charts and why the widely differing opinions of 2021 as a Summer.

Great contrasts across the UK this summer and particularly in August. Very, warm, dry and sunny for western Scotland and Northern Ireland but dull and wet in the southeast.

Have not kept up with the weather for weeks now due to every day being the same cool cloudfest, but very nice surprise to see a 3 day mini heatwave on the way. Finally some summer weather for the first time in two months.

We seem to have a weather phenomenon today, a yellow ball in the sky radiating heat

First day it's reached 25°C here since 22nd July which tells you all you need to know about the summer we've had. In fact it only reached that on 6 occasions over the summer so there is a possibility it might come close to that in the first week of autumn alone depending on how much of a coastal influence there is over the next few days.
