If the thunderstorms are already this intense with only like one day of heating, imagine what potential there could be for the South west on friday / saturday.

Think I’ll stay in the garden for today, it’s nice and quiet here and the storms aren’t coming from the channel anyway

I just received in my e-mail box a Met Office weather warning for thunderstorms in the south east. I checked the rain radar to see the small cluster of storms departing Sussex for the Channel.

The MO are just a little late to the party, aren't they? Afternoon tea and scones more important!?   

Those of you who get the storms - enjoy!

I can see that storm in East Sussex from here.. it looks absolutely gorgeous. Saw an overshooting top too.

Yes the radar echos are quite something too, consistently getting maxed out on each frame!

I'm here ,in Renault van ,drove right thru wicked  storm torrential rain ,hail ,constant lightning ,but your not here just for a Cornetto ..ps kept calling electricmumma ,till I got taken away lol . .:-)

Down here in East Sussex the storm hasn’t left land yet, in fact it hasn’t hit bexhill properly yet either, in fact we are only just loosing the sun now
