Sunshine much more evident around here today than this time yesterday and temperatures at 20c are already above the predicted temperature for today of 19c.

Yeah pretty much the same here.  Hoping whatever is fuelling the downpours will fuel some storms later when it’s hopefully a bit warmer.

Some of the heaviest rain I've ever driven in. Absolutely blinding.

Yeah some of the showers are getting very beefy, I expect to see more lightning as the move north/northeast.

After a lovely storm here in Lincoln yesterday, today is feeling like we could get more. Feels ripe for storms after a coolish start. Cloud bubbling up quickly in the last 30 mins.

Yes, there's a few sferics appearing to the south and west of here.  I have a suspicion that we could be in quite a prime location for thundery activity over the coming week.

Meanwhile, here's my lightning captures from yesterday:

That bolt over the cathedral is a beauty! I was up in the Waddington area yesterday so unfortunately all the lightning was hard to see due to the intense rainfall.

Big clap of thunder here just now and big drops of rain turning to hail...

What another stunning day convection wise. Very clean convection too. Bright blue skies here with ominous clouds approaching from the S/SW. lightning confirmed near Ely too.

Pickering looking more promising today, been hot and humid all morning, forecast is suggesting frequent Thunderstorms even during the evening and over night

A few sferics beginning to show between Bakewell and Buxton, missing my location but close enough to hear a few rumbles.

Heard thunder about two minutes ago, here we go again.

Apparently lightning struck a house in Awsworth yesterday, no damage reported

More torrential downpours here and more thunder just to the west and East but none overhead.

Also im pretty sure this had a little rotation in it, as there were further clouds moving right and closer clouds moving left from what i could see

You can sort of see the rotation in the pic, the way it bends round.
