More like 10k at most. 30k top would have a big presence on radar and there’s only a couple of modest showers.

Still it does look fairly convective outside here too, like we’re you are. Was a convective forecast issued for today? I’ve not really been paying attention.

I've not seen a convective forecast yet but it starting to feel oppressive and it's getting more humid as the day goes by, so fingers crossed. The clouds did look taller from where I was but I think I was overzealous with the height

Yup, low 20s now along the south coast with a few point of nearly 17C here. Looks like a CZ is setting up with the sea breeze setting in now.

@Sam jackson88

About cloud tops this radar loop shows you how high the cloud tops are from 2k to 10k,it is a useful tool for picking out storms,what you need is defined blobs of deep maroon red(10k+),i hope that helps

at the moment we only have cloud tops of 5-6K spreading S/SE.

There is a modest convective forecast from Tony at UKWW. Good patches of diurnal heating today* so a few sparks / small thunderstorm cannot be ruled out near to coasts

Personally if I was local to southern areas of Hants I would head out just to see the convection along the CZ. Could be similar to Monday but would expect a little less activity. There could be a few dusk sferics about if we’re lucky, too

Decent line moving ESE through Hampshire at the moment. Nothing too intense but some decently heavy rain cores. I'm on the Eastern extent but it is expanding eastwards as well like a zip being undone.

I was kinda hoping to use today as a drying day but alas there goes that idea ahead of what might be a very showery/wet spell

Currently watching the connective shower as it approaches me, has bubbled up quite nicely.

I'm inside the rain warning tomorrow and quite frankly I believe I have a better chance of seeing thunder than most areas within the thunderstorm warning.
