I had a rather rude awakening 30 minutes ago as the storm slowly moves towards my town... Rain has definitely picked up and not actually seen any lightning hey because it's all behind me

There was a very close boom that did him in! Got him up to watch and he saw several flashes. Now sleeping again but there’s even more developing and approaching from the East! Turning pretty epic overall now’

OMG! Just woke up - the skies here are insane! Under huge anvils and distant thunder with what looks like Armageddon approaching!

Seems to be tailing off now it was stronger on the approach to my town... Could be interesting depending on where the Uckfield cell moves

Can’t believe how much that front has intensified over the last hour! Glad to be proven somewhat wrong in my predictions. It’s slightly more than ‘thundery rain’ after all!!

I just nice big flash of lightning coming my bed window over in Warminster

Morning all. Woken about 40 minutes ago by distant rumblings. Since then had some closer growls and a couple of IC flickers but wasn't able to ascertain direction. No thunder for at least 15 minutes,  but has in the last few seconds begun to rain moderately/heavily. I think the best bet for here is later on today.

Has anyone else's radar output stopped at 05:05?

Saw the chain of storms roll in from up near the Hogs Back, decided to move after a close strike (about 5 miles away) but was enough for me

It’s all stopped since then

 

not too worried as the forecast is looking particularly excellent at the moment

I still a  hear faith thunder the in distance now and Dorset and Wiltshire and now the east getting a line of thunderstorms so happy days
