    Better late than ever - but took this while chasing near Braintree yesterday. Got a load of other pics but not had time to offload.

    Fantastic shot of an angry powerfull storm cloud Chris. One for the frame on the wall....Essex certainly was treated to an amazing display of convective weather yesterday...

    Got my eyes on Saturday night, hopefully it comes off. Would be good to get some photos of a storm at night

    Cell S of London. You can’t call it a bust until daylight hours imo the transition between max heating and dusk, is when the cap breaks but stil enough diurnal heating 😉

    Watch from north London too. Evening is best potential with stable air masses. As convection only really amounts to anything with lesser cap, but equally enough CAPE. Imo

    After a hot, muggy dry day here in the baking hot plains of India, sorry Reigate, we actually just got a rumble of thunder from a tiny cell that popped up just south of the town.

    That was unexpected!

    Ah - Cableguy - you saw the cell!

    Just taken this from Ainsdale beach on my old phone. They’re to my NE, long way away in an otherwise cloudless sky.

    This is the view of the storm from here. Has still got an overshooting top though this appears to be waning a little (thankfully spotted the auto-spell check there).

    Line of turkey towers feeding into to from the east. Just a shame it’s not dark enough to see any illuminations.

    Storm up North looking good!

    Here's our local storm from the back garden looking south east. I cant see it has topped out yet. But we've had two lightning incidents recorded from it.

    we have struggled all day here ,tbh, yesterday here, was i think, rare,not talking elevated french frontal or mcs ,but building over the top of you head ,surfaced based ,once its elevated its great but really ..you sort of know the score ,surface based ..well anything can happen ,lucky dip,and  i stand by that, it dont happen much ,so today was a bit of a dry squib,if clouds were tall people ,then they was in a low ceiling environment today ;-{

    Patch of AcCas suddenly appeared overhead coinciding with a sudden, slight breeze arriving. I don’t think it’ll amount to anything, just nice to look at really 😊
