Yes it's got it together just South of us. Rain today showing rain over us, but it's stayed dry.

I gather we are expecting another poor effort over the weekend regarding MUCAPE and potential overnight storms?

Not much being said about it other than it is a plume but not a plume, which to me implies the low is not disrupting and setting up the more classic type scenario but instead doing what it did back in June which lead to the energy staying over France and steering winds from the NE= Kent clipper/North Sea rumble/subsequent fail.

I know we still have a day or two to watch but any latest info is always much appreciated.

As a side note, had a lovely BBQ at work Tuesday evening under the Cambridge anvil, I couldn't miss out on burgers to do the hours drive though, guess I'm not hardcore enough.

Fantastic pictures going round too.

Here is my video of the thunderstorms that hit Northamptonshire, UK on 20 July 2021.⛈⚡⛈ (Forgot to post this here yesterday)

The afternoon of Tuesday 20 July 2021 saw a rash of thunderstorms develop over Northamptonshire and the surrounding areas thanks to the recent hot weather over the last week or so. This storm brought rolling loud thunder with a few decent lightning bolts, strong winds and heavy rain.

Developing nicely around here now and the nearby showers visible.

For the past hour though been seeing towers shoot up all over, hopefully something pops off more soon as there is not much lightning left in the Midland cells.

Large cumulus clouds bubbling up all around me here and there’s a heavy shower on the radar towards Llandysul - possibly thundery although I can’t hear anything yet.  Seems to be moving slowly north west so might miss my location but would be nice to see some distant lightning after dark later.  It’s extremely humid this afternoon and feels stormy.

In this stormless desert called Merseyside it’s still 30.1°C. Have a feeling there may be a CZ nearby though

Bah! I jinxed it! All fizzled out now. Still so oppressively hot, even standing outside in the raindrops only worked to cool me down for so long...

I see Estofex has released a forecast for Friday 5:00am to Saturday 6:00am.

They've chalked southernmost UK up for a level 1. Mostly for heavy rain. France may take the burden on the bad weather.

B&Q at Meir Park got absolutely flooded, with customers having to evacuate with the water going above their feet, the flooding and rain was that intense!!
