That last time happened to be July 2019, didn't it? That is still the last time I even saw a nighttime CG. A whole two years! Everything crossed for tomorrow!

The last time I saw a night time C-G was during the early hours of 18th October 2019 during an autumn type storm off the Channel.

Looks like some possible development perhaps?

Milky skies and 29c here, a few towers bubbling up too. Temo feels a few degrees higher than that, so oppressive today with very little in the way of a breeze.

Feels like it could go bang at any moment.

Noticed one or two small towers here, net weather forecast hinting storm risk around 4pm time

More talk about tomorrow night into Saturday, but should the line of showers/thunderstorms move through quick enough then there is a chance we could see some strong/marginally-severe SB thunderstorms on Saturday along the M4 corridor. It's really beginning to catch my eye as it seems to look better with every new run.

But generally nothing of real interest for the south coast?

UKV looking pretty poor for our neck of the woods. I don't particularly like these synoptics, they very rarely deliver. The MetOffice blanket warning, and in particular, the warning impact matrix, make it very clear that it will be very hit & miss.

Just got gone from work, but with the current heat and humidity here it feels horrible out!

But this is my sky looking west towards the Clwydian range.

I think you’re in for a pretty good chance Fri night into Sat morning as it stands.

From experience I find UKV to be notoriously poor in plume like setups. I definitely favour AROME over all.
