I can see the storm clouds from here in the haze. Look pretty big.

Cumulimbus!

Can heat some distant rumbles, gradually getting louder, getting excited now!

we have struggled all day here ,tbh, yesterday here, was i think, rare,not talking elevated french frontal or mcs ,but building over the top of you head ,surfaced based ,once its elevated its great but really ..you sort of know the score ,surface based ..well anything can happen ,lucky dip,and  i stand by that, it dont happen much ,so today was a bit of a dry squib,if clouds were tall people ,then they was in a low ceiling environment today ;-{

Yeah I noticed they kept hitting their heads and stooping.

This monster has blocked our evening sunshine. I'm in Huddersfield so this is over the Pennines in Lancashire.

Took this briefly earlier. Looking at the radar it’s passing over north Manchester now. Don’t think it’s coming any further west unfortunately.   Not as active as it was further north either.

Lots of westward correction on the UKV for tomorrow night! Cornwall clipper anyone?

Must admit I'm yet to check the Euro4 etc as I'm on mobile

That sounds perfect actually, there is always stuff east of the main disturbance, infact last time something looked like a just SW event, the whole country lit up from the south coast upwards.

That last time happened to be July 2019, didn't it? That is still the last time I even saw a nighttime CG. A whole two years! Everything crossed for tomorrow!
