meanwhile an absolute glorious day in Cheshire, barely a cloud in the sky......haven't had any rain now in nearly 6 weeks which is becoming a bit of a concern up here

Can see so many anvils to my south, hope the action continues after the sun goes down so that i can watch the light shows from afar

These storms over NW London look like they might be intensifying again as they move this way. Sky going dark to my NW as they drift this way - not wanting to be greedy (much) but hoping they sustain as they come this way

Looking all a bit uninspiring over London @Robbie Garrett - thought I just heard thunder but not sure where from - possible was something else.

I posted in the summer discussion thread that I'd missed the storms in Lincoln today - here's hoping that I did a Murray Walker/commentator's curse!

I actually thought we had missed on all the action, all day it looked like we were just brewing storms for the South, hoping cooling kicks in for some action, I bet the storm near Leicester was unexpected so who knows what could happen.

This area looks to be the one to keep an eye on

Yes indeed, not seen or heard much ongoing. Just rain here now. Nothing biblical yet...

Looks as though the new cells S of London have electrified. C/N London storms have lost their electricity sadly.
