Absolutely nothing going on here in Cheshire, clear sky and hot sunshine. I do have a great view of the storm around Chesterfield from the back of my house though. According to measuring on google maps this storm is 47 miles away from me

All of the action has been south of here, though we did catch a rumble from the small cell over the city centre earlier this afternoon. The explosive convection today though has been an absolute treat to witness. Towers really reaching up high! Proper stormy summer skies, and just imagine these sorts of cells after sunset ❤️

Outflow from the storms in the east is spreading westwards, likely to help initiate further storms west of the current line.

Today has almost felt like a day on the US plains - clear skies, heat building, Cu field, followed by explosive development of discrete intense cells. If you look on the radar at the storm approaching Chelmsford, it splits into two discrete and intense cells.

Honestly this is the most bonkers thing I've ever seen. Sorry I'm about 5 miles NNE of Braintree.

Thank you!  Glad you're in the show, Ben!

Looks like a scene you'd get from the US

Slow moving storms give time for pictures of it approaching and Lightning. Looking like I'm it's path for the whole of my bus journey.

Have the edge of the cell over us, with mammatus lurking about and more forming now. Some rain drops, lots of rumbles in the distance from the cells that are just to the west of us. Must be a good show over there, wish they were a little more east...

This is the Kent cell from my garden in Redhill (Surrey) - very impressive.

Had a couple of rain showers in the last hour or so but they've not amounted to anything interesting.
