Yea, I'm in Northampton but so far most activity is to our east and North near Nottingham. It looks like we've missed the storms but it is still possible for a storm to pop out of nowhere.

Easy to see where thunderstorms have formed looking at the wind convergence

Looks like this will move westwards..

Just had a small cell start and build a little south of my location. I watched it from the garden. It's drifting south east and might turn into something.  But generally it appears too dry this far west of the active area. It wants to go, but hasn't the fuel.

Oh - wait. Something starting up to the north-west of Reigate.  Perhaps our area may be showing signs of developing now?

Thought the storm over Chelmsford had died out, but in the last 10-15 minutes seems to have revived with frequent lightning and near constant thunder.

View from the North in Stowmarket of the Haverhill storm. Can hear thunder from here but no rain.

I've been watching the storm that just skirted past Newark to the North on the rada. Interesting to see it turn left and back build for 15 mins or so. Fizzled out after constant rumbles of thunder in the distance though. 

More showers seem to be building to the North West of Nottingham too.

Huge line of storms just to my West of Ely - some really interesting looking cells on radar which I am sure are producing some very good storms on the ground! 

They  seem to be slipping south just before they reach me though for the time being...

Yes, a really great new addition to the Met Office, these short term, more focused warnings within the larger one are a lot better than before. Good to see them using multiple tiers as well, nit just yellow.

The little development north-west of us grew in 30 minutes and is dumping heavy rain on us in Reigate. Blue sky still around this baby cell!

Fantastic, you can get a metoffice ping to let you know that the water you are already shovelling out of your lower floors is supposed to be there.

 

The cloud base Where the storms were forming seems to be raising, meaning the existing storms are as far west as it gets.
