As the storms move east, they keep continually building. Orpington seems to be the breeding ground here - as soon as the storm billows up and moves off, another tower replaces it. Brand new one going up - must be bad flash flooding there.

Is that the east or the east east? Because the east east ain't looking that interesting

Looks like Norfolk gets to miss out on everything yet again.

Funny how the convective forecasts are super accurate when it shows thunder for elsewhere, but when the risk is here it's always a bust.

Had one rumble this year so far and it wasn't even forecast.

That moving east is a good sign of things occuring here if it doesn't konk out before then.

Can see it faintly in the distance on my webcam.

Yes some towers but plenty of clear blue sky and baking hot sun again

Are we going to get round two?

Everything is to the East and moving away.....Not really expecting that to change for the West Mids, despite the forecast

stream running just in case

Got soaked in raunds, large clap of thunder as I was driving to depot in lorry.

About to clock out, looking at the precip chart, looks like I'm just west on anything of popping off, though early days.

Not feeling too hopeful here unfortunately.. looks completely dead to my west. A different story to my east though - loads of towering cumulus with a big fat CB.

I got a nice big cloud formation to my north started over guildford way and moving east... difficult to exactly locate it because there are too many buildings in the way

Yea same here, last 13 times in a row we have had thunderstorm warnings we have had a glorious sunny day lol.... No thunder here since August last year. And the South East/London are having their 18th day this year of thunderstorms already. Does seem to be the same areas which get them day after day

Been watching these from the other side of the Solent. Sadly we're too far west of the storm fuel, so they keep collapsing at a certain height after initially looking very promising.

Hmm - activity seems to be to the east and north of Reigate.  A week last Monday, it was immediately to the west of us!  I'm watching with interest, but I wonder if we're going to be out of it today.

Huge mass over Haverhill south of Cambridge.

Strange isn't it? Most of the time the convective forecasts are literally bang on, but Norfolk seems to be an issue!
