good luck mate, hope you catch a storm or 2, not alot going on here currently

I reckon you may get one, as well as myself, if not now, later on. The main action could be during the evening hours as the air aloft cools further and wind shear increases with this passing upper trough. Some of this development is almost like we are in Kansas at the moment. It’s incredible.

Well according to the radar it should be raining heavily, not a drop here though. Very loud rumbles, still so muggy though!

The anvil from the SE London cell is almost above me - a good 20 miles away!

There’s also something beefy looking to the NW too, looks like everything is going to avoid me as per usual…

Looks like all the local energy was being sucked up by the Wellingborough cell, first rumble just happened.

Storm drifting off now but a real treat.  Must easily be 40-50 rumbles and a couple of CGs with proper thunder crashes when it was in its early days.

Got this shot of crepuscular rays coming from behind the anvil

Looking at radar I would expect most of eastern England to light up in the next 60mins.

Is that the east or the east east? Because the east east ain't looking that interesting

I have a horrible feeling it's going to stay North of here and we'll be left sweating relentlessly.

355 north

also that cell on left has grown quite a bit. But the first cell seemed to have died off as soon as it reached. The anvil stage

Some proper outflow from the SE London/Kent cell blowing through here now.  Would keep eyes peeled to the W for any daughter cells

It’s going mad now - I’m under the inflow tail and there’s thunder now every 10 - 15 seconds or so. This could be the first major cell of the day.

Are you at home in Bexley Harry?  Typically, I am working in the office today in London and not a thing here!  Always on the days I am not WFH

The second cell has reached the anvil stage, let’s see if it keeps to that

Our area (Somerset) isn't really forecast anything until that system could potentially move up during Friday night into Saturday.

Yep, I'm living in dreamland really, but I thought I would take a look nonetheless as my barograph dipped briefly this morning, and that surface pressure drop over the midlands isn't too far away. Mind you, the dewpoint here is 14 degrees, which is pretty discouraging.
