I may be going insane but I swear I just heard two or three rumbles coming from sea direction in bexhill. Upset the gulls. Going down to look and photograph

Not from the sea, NNE of us! Getting slowly louder, Convergence line maybe slipping southwards?

Can hear non-stop thunder with strikes 30km away here in Hastings. If this reaches us it could be epic. Formed over land not sea, usually dies out near us when over sea.

Camera at the ready, will pop out shortly to Bottle Alley.

Looks great there. Would be nice sat on that pier in the warm sunshine and watching the action  looking east.

Can I ask if an Amber "Excessive Heat" warning has ever been issued before? I've never seen one.
