Well a thundery shower dumped 7.6mm on us at a rainfall rate of 141mm per hour. I was in a local park nearby and it only rained for a minute.

Just had loads of rain dumped on us, expecting more and some fireworks

Does anyone else notice it usually seems to thunder on the day of an England game?

I am between Brigg and Humberside Airport watching a storm moving in from the southwest. I have everything crossed that it doesn't die out.

Okay so saturdays storm here in Lincoln was super impressive however there is a storm developing just south of Lincoln atm. This looks a monster. Incredible structure to it. And as I type the first deep rumble. Eeeeek

edit: This is now the second storm in 4 days that has had a stunning looking roll cloud on it. Lucky me

Let me guess.... Storms in Lincoln? *checks radar*. Storms in Lincoln. Of course.

My part of Lincoln missed the showers altogether until now, but yes, thunder and lightning have commenced in the past 15 minutes here.

I caught the Lincoln storm at Newark and there was some definite rotation in it but, I couldn't chase to the North side of town to get a better view. Got this picture though.

Raining steadily here now, nothing else.

It mainly passed to the north and west of here but that cloud formation was pretty impressive!  It feels surreal (and amazing) to have moved to what seems to be the present-day thunderstorm capital of Britain, it means I need to make the most of my time here.  Here's some photos:

At your place maybe, not for many other places though.

I got a few thundery showers near me, south of Doncaster. Managed to get a spark from a small cell; I’ve edited the image so that you can see the bolt more. Also saw what looked like a funnel cloud, but is probably just some suspicious looking scud.

Could well be a similar day to yesterday, but possibly with a bit more beef to the showers. Expecting some sea breeze convergence by midday for S coast areas/Downs, Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk and Lincs etc, and maybe a few more inland too. Very slow moving showers and storms where they do form, but popcorn/pulse type.

Some of us can remember the thunder and lightning in London on 30th July 1966. Wonder whether we shall get a repeat on 11th July 2021?
