I've got a fake daylight pic from Holland in 2015, taken in Kerkwijk near Zaltbommel.  This was about 1am if I remember correctly. That was one hell of a night, especially in a caravan....

There was quite the shelf cloud that went over just now which I could see inbetween the flashes. Wonder if anyone's got it?

I realise I’m rather late to the party here, however we have near constant thunder progressively getting louder! First proper storm of the year!

Pretty obvious nothing will get anywhere near here now so calling it a day.

I am however hoping that we maybe the ones getting some thundery weather on Saturday night though as just seen the latest BBC weather forecast and it shows a pulse of storms coming up from France but moving in a more northwesterly direction which is what we need.

We aren't getting anything tonight because the storms are moving northeasterly which is the wrong direction for us to get anything.

Rain finally stopped. But so has all the distant lightning. And so has the channel.

Really warm and still though. Feels like energy

Round two could start to get interesting soon.

Believe me, NE is totally the wrong direction for me as well!

Lucky you!

Can't see Norfolk getting anything out of this, should have realised nothing changes!

LOOOL and just as I said this I saw a faint flash of lightning to my ESE. I should try reverse psychology in the future.

Managed to catch a storm near to Faversham but was unable to get out as was on the motorway. Some incredible CG's and loud thunder in it though along with torrential rain.

Now sat near to Whitstable and it's all quiet. I wonder if it's worth hanging around for round 2 (if it is happening at all).

Absolutely bummed about this picture. Tried to recover it but there was a Cg to the left of this picture which landed about 200 yards in front of me and screwed my F-Stop up and totally took me by surprise.

Rustiness!!

Oh, I don't know, I quite like the otherwordly aura it gives it. It might not be naturalistic, but it is artistic.

Thanks mate, was not expecting a Cg to jump out about 3 miles in front of the others, also shot it in Jpeg whereas if I was on Raw could have recovered it. Just nice to see a storm again tbh

So, despite Nottingham being firmly in the yellow warning, I’ve seen one flash which might not have been owt anyway. Light rain right now, with a few bursts of heavier rain, not too much though. Feeling much fresher though, a stark contrast to the mugginess an hour ago

Storms south of Brighton will track toward you dont think this is over yet, the transport of High Theta from the East is still enhancing potential. Its like a sauna out there still
