I wouldn’t be giving up on storms yet if you are east of the A34:

The system developing behind looks more organised to me…

I am 4 miles east of the A34 and midway between the m4 and m40. It is the convectionless capital of the world. Hope you prove me wrong

well for the people who've called it a bust or stopped bothering, at least u can go to sleep without worry whilst people in my location or near it will not know when to get to sleep in case they miss some amazing thunder and lightning

It will be a miracle if anyone can sleep in this claggy heat!

Nothing but rain here (surprise surprise) but please for those to my South and East getting some storms!

So many overhead flashes, bangs, everything.

Damn, how I've missed these!

Nope!

Profiles dont support anything remotely supercellular. Bog standard elevated storm.

Storms are doing their usual abrupt right turn as soon as they hit Kent/S coast. Cracking pictures nevertheless!

26.6mm of rain in one hour! Lots of lightning and a fair amount of thunder, a couple of overhead/immediate claps of thunder following lightning.

Wonder if there’ll be any more tomorrow..

These are the two areas to watch, signs of plume engagement beginning to ramp up lightning activity. Perhaps a slight lull once the MCS clears east Kent before the next round.

Interesting radar image in the Dover strait..

Could that be an MCV perhaps?

I'm not one to bash the MO for no reason, but that thunderstorm warning going from Cornwall to Durham is looking a complete farce now!

YEEEEAAA BOIZ, the bust is OFF!!!

Lightning seen, faint rumble  of thunder heard!

Must be that stuff off of brighton.

Would head down to the seafront but by the time I walk there it'll be finished!

Audible thunder again from that stuff near Brighton, as well as increasingly frequent flashes!

Brilliant down here atm. Decent frequency of lightening and nice cracks of thunder.

Reigate. 11:30pm. I've seen a smaller bust on Jayne Mansfield.  This is ridiculous.  It was interesting watching the garden being watered.
