Once this MCS exits NE into the North Sea, hopefully we can advect in some more high theta-W air. Judging by the UKV 3-5am looks to support this.

That storm traveling up the west side of France is going by Royan currently.

This webcam has a reasonably good view of it:

A little later than planned but currently just about to leave Newport Pagnell services after stopping for some much needed food. Heading south towards the M25 and will decide then what to do next

Reckon there's some hail in that storm as well as epic shelf cloud approaching Camber to Dungeness

Fresh lightning strikes over N France - let’s hope these can maintain and grow upscale

AROME 12z is also a good match of the radar atm and is keen on further intense developments just after midnight for CS/SE England.

Well went for dinner, glad I did as the radar looks a complete mess. Everything going to be mixed out.

Just popped down to the cliff tops, looks very unthundery.

To be fair at the moment it seems like more of an area of heavy rain with imbeded storms than actual storms movin north.

If it’s this one you will. It moved in quick. But passed quite quick. Still raining heavily and getting pink lightening and rumbles every few minutes though
