Looks absolutely pants for tonight now ugh

Are you at Uni ATM?  Might get the cells that have appeared SW of the main area of ppn.

I thought things are only suppose to kick off later on this evening for the south and southeast?

I wonder if this is a sign that everyone will lose out on the thundery weather and be gutted like us lot here already are in the West.

I think Ben was talking about his area, rather than the risk altogether - UKV is fantastic for the SE, less good for those further west

On an unmade road in Firle, nr Brighton. I can confirm that the rain is bastardlike, and the thunder is -1

Lol. There are far better roads around there to use!

Sat waiting in Highcliffe, and not too much to report, other than some rather dark skies.

Flash of lightening and crack of thunder literally just as I reached the beach in Brighton.

I'm starting to feel better with regards to central southern areas getting something, judging by the current radar!

Is this area of thundery rain expected to intensify, I reckon the main event will be later in the night as it normally is

Evening all hope everyone is well, currently at beachy head near Eastbourne and under a big wet convective mess! Appears that the lighting from this area has waned somewhat!

Starting to see some nice clumps of cloud behind that blob in the south east, southern flank of that blob being most active.

Disappointing so far. We need the echoes in the channel to light up soon otherwise it's game over.
