GFS 6z has location better than GFS 12z.

The 12z puts the start of this too far North and West,

What does this hold in store for tonight? (as if you haven't already looked),

Which looks like a direct hit for Medway. Direct. Hit.

We shall see ...

Don't jinx it!

The rain has arrived.

the air has that stormy feel to it, even though its cooler than a lot of places as am on the coast.

Latest radar:

I’m still not sure whether this is the starter or the main course, I think it may actually be only the starter.

The one that interests me with this plume.  Up and until now, there was none of the usual muck at high altitude.  It was crystal clear blue skies today.   That's already a different to events

Great picture. Nice to see you on here. Seen your videos on Flyer Forum (I'm a photographer from Lee on Solent airfield)

Damn it, maybe time to call the misses? 'Sorry darling, got a bit of tickly cough, you mind if we make it tomorrow night?' then grab a couple of triple of cheeseburgers at Maccy D's and head for the cliffs!!

Currently on the seafront, darker skies to the SSW of here with that approaching area

All of the lightning is on the eastern most of that cluster of storms. No lightning elsewhere.

Am I the only one concerned? Lol

Feels like a storm is brewing. I stable in other areas of the atmosphere as well, feel like this'll be nothing like the Models, so hard to predict.

Going back frame by frame on lightning radar, it seems Hastings might, just MIGHT be a good place to be. Bag packed, ready to pop over to Bottle Alley with the gear.

Trying to time my trips down to the seafront so I don’t end up doing it too much.. though I do like a good cloud.. and the ice cream hut is calling

Wish we had a bottle alley here, not many places to hide on the seafront

I'm under the start of the Heathrow landing flight path, in SE London, and the engine noise keeps making me double take/listen.

I could be in the middle of two storms hopefully 1 hits but in the middle could be good for pictures probably won't survive here for long though.

Steady rain here, the air has got that 'I need to go bang' feeling about it..... which means it will probably just rain....

Rain's about to reach Reigate. I'm sitting out enjoying some slightly cooler air before it arrives. I see most of the lightning activity is well south and east, probably heading for......................

Kent.

Lightning rates on the storm nearest to Brighton tailing off quickly, the south eastern storm clearly feeding off a riper environment and probably heading for Hastings at best.

Further west some individual showers trying to get going but not able to sustain any updrafts. Looks like a big wet mess heading into much of the central south however I'm still not convinced the netweather radar is on top form.

Cloud cover increasing now, and it looks a little west of where the models were saying, I think:
