Why does that model keep bringing up westward shifts!

Its pretty obvious now that these storms overnight are going to be a southeast England affair.

Some cirrus with ‘mares tails’ forming now, indicating plenty of shear up there!

Really reminds me of that sort of feeling when you're on holiday and the day ends in a storm. I'm not sure how to describe it, it's got that 'atmospheric????' feel.

Hot, sweaty, irritable, and in desperate need of a beer?

I'm still not happy with the situation. Lots of mid and high level crud spilling northwards plus a large anvil now forming over Cherbourg.

Super cloudy here now. Cloud set to ruin the day tomorrow too. Back to the Souths cloudy norm lol

Goodness, why the netweather radar in the south keep losing its resolution? It always happens in the south and across the channel, annoying as I just renewed my subscription today....

It's not hard to see why GFS upgraded in the 12z in Kent.

A very very marginal nudging in off the Kent coast of some higher wet bulbs ..

Great idea if you're drunk and playing with oodles of processing power buried in some mountain somewhere. The real world? One for the bin.

No huge seismic shifts on the 12z model guidance - Thunderstorms still most likely east of the IOW, into SE England and up into East Anglia during the early hours. First taster now moving north across the English channel. First round: 10pm-2am Second round: 4am-8am

I can't believe there are still some models throwing out westward shifts of these storms for tonight where some places even here in Wales may get something.

Even just looking at the live radars now you can clearly see the direction storms in France are moving and its northeastwards, so therefore anything that heads our way is only going to be affecting southeast England by the time it reaches our shores.

I'm gutted anyway as i know we are very unlikely to get anything now unlike what was shown a few days ago, but i hope a miracle may happen and we also get something tonight.

Having had a look at the Models I have hope like people have said, these things happen quickly and there has been perhaps a better pre-cursor than some models showed.
