No idea how this is going to go based on modelling. Hints of a pattern change, but it's definitely not nailed on.

I'm going to take the threat of upper troughs throughout the month seriously I think, and go for:

15.1c & 68mm please.

16.1c and 61mm please.

Not sure about these hideously low ones - they really are a leap of faith, i am by no means confident with my forecast but looking highly likely to be around that after 10 days, so with an ascending month im going for stable right the way through, fourteens are not out the question but twelves??????

going to go for 14.4 & 84mm

warm & humid looks the going rate for the first week or so but i don’t necessarily think the cold & blocked theme is completely done with us & think at least one cool & drab spell to bring the average down. wet & thundery too.

15.4 and 89.6 mm of rain. Fairly warm at times, staying rather wet too. I remember June 1972, it was awful then it warmed up a bit near the end. Can't see much chance of anything much lower than 14 on current guidance and 15 is more or less normal nowadays. In fact it always has been as June is the only month that can look way back (to 1822-51) to find its warmest 30-year running mean, in two decimals at least, we are going to close in on that one by 1993-2022 perhaps at the rate things are going.

Posting this partial table of entries (to end of 30th May) for two reasons, one to make sure I don't lose it and two, later on-time entrants can have a quick look and get an idea of what spots are available etc. Then I will remove the table at the end of the day 31st and post it at the usual spot around the end of on-time entries.

(table now posted at midnight end of 31st May start of 1st June _ good luck)

I’m going to have to amend mine sorry as it appears that Summer has shown up for the first part of June. Consequently about the only thing that would give a 10.8 as I predicted is an eruption in Yellowstone!

Amended prediction - 14.4.C and EWP of 99mm

Despite a warming and settled start, I reckon the pressure patterns will be slack and large periods of the month will be vulnerable to the June sunshine sparking off thunderstorms....so a bit wetter than average. Grew growing weather but a headache for planning events!

I'll go with a warm June, matching 2005, 15.5 degrees, indeed a turnaround from May just has happened in 2005. Not expecting another 2018 or 2020 in terms of consistent settled weather, but there will be a fair amount, possibly more so in the first half as currently indicated by the charts, with some temporary shortlived very warm, possibly hot conditions - but not widespread. Perhaps quite a thundery month, some atlantic incursions at times, variable rainfall as a result. Quite a mixed month, a bit of everything for heat and thunder lovers.
