Dry and bright with decent sunny spells, less breeze, a low of 1.9 C, no sign of ground frost but possible in dawn period

Sleet yesterday evening gave way to light rain before clearing south to leave clear periods from around midnight onward. A sunny start to this morning interrupted by low cloud between 0600 and 0700 before clearing again to sunny periods and developing Cu.

A windy night with westerly gusts of gale force, also rain moderate at times. Mainly cloudy this morning, windy with showery rain. A few brief bright spells. A few sunny spells developing through the morning and in to afternoon, though a good deal of cloud for the most part, windy. A short heavy shower with small hail mid evening.

One short shower of soft hail, then sleet around 1330-1350 g.m.t but the rest of the day was dry with sunny spells.
