Yup, it’s really quite poor now light rain set in. Forecast a couple of days ago had the shower risk for yesterday but then quickly returning to bright, dry and sunny conditions. Poor day today, looks poor again tomorrow as well now!

It's been miserable and overcast all day today here, with the odd glimpse of the sun.  Spitting with rain!  16 degrees.  The heating has come on again!

Overcast and murky here too but still feeling warm.  Still in shorts.

Since when was tomorrow meant to be such a horrible day in London . Rain and 15c...

15? Forecast to reach 21°C in London according to bbc weather.

Fantastic day! Tbh it’s been a fantastic week of weather here, had sunshine every day, and temps reaching low to mid twenties in south Essex! As I type it’s still 22.5° glorious! Tomorrow looks cloudy outbreaks of rain, but I’m off to the Lake District for the weekend, and the weather up there looks pretty decent, high teens and plenty of sunshine! And then return next week to Essex back to low 20s! Long May it continue

It’ll be very surprising if it reaches 21c tomorrow unless the cloud breaks a lot easier than currently forecast!

Pretty average here today. Mainly cloudy. A few sunny spells this afternoon and top temp of 20c. But when I think back to just 11 days ago when the temp was 7c during a downpour I suppose today is actually tropical in comparison. Not looking  good for the test match in St John's Wood tomorrow though.

Will probably get to 18-20c in London tomorrow, then back to mid 20s after that.

Cooling off here, just briefly went outside and felt slightly chilly, currently about 15°C.

bbc going for full sun here tomorrow! to me I'm too far east, showers already now

Forecast to be full sun here too, with a top temperature of 19°C and light winds, which is more than warm enough given how strong the sunshine is at this time of year.

Temps forecast to be hi teens/lo 20’s and mostly sunny after that. ☀️

Bit of a disappointment today. Persistent light drizzle until mid-morning, then mostly cloudy with only brief sunny breaks. Made it to 20.8 °C and it felt reasonably warm, but it wasn't a patch on the previous few days. Not convinced that tomorrow will be as sunny as currently being predicted, either. Just hope it improves on Saturday.

Nice morning, feeling fresher than last few days.  Currently around 16°C with 55% humidity. ?

Rescued a wood pigeon this morning after my cat decided to catch it.

Once again a murky day, however at least the next few days are forecasted to be nice.

Just on right side today of the NW/SE split, all day could see the unsettled skies looking SE and the blue looking NW, high cloud most of day, but sunny since 2pm ish

Gorgeous day today, wall to wall sunshine, clear blue skies, a few fluffy white clouds and very strong sun. ? Temp reached around 19°C but felt warmer in the strong June sunshine. Currently sat in the garden in shorts and a t-shirt soaking up the rays, bet it's been rubbish down in London...

Nice here. 21c at present. You could see the mucky stuff /clouds down to the SE. In fact a bit too close for comfort but never the less on the right side in sunny spells and especially this afternoon.  If the sun had gone the other way round we might have had a grey day instead!

It's not often you see such a visible contrast in the weather quite so obviously!  The Londoners of this thread are staying quiet so im guessing it's been really bad down there...

Aye, not often on right side here, normally get the weather of the east here, the SE cloud did move NW through morning, but only watery sunny high cloud,

not a ball bowled in cricket in the SE

Unusual to get such a stunning day around these parts while the SE has a totally rotten day with relentless rain- rare to see such a massive contrast that way round.

This afternoon has been beautiful here- a bit of high cloud around for a time this morning but it's been mostly cloudless since about 1pm and a lovely evening now. 20.1C max but felt warmer in the sun this afternoon.

Yes - I was out golfing in that crud this afternoon! Stayed over at a hotel and it was such a contrast to yesterday. 26c and roasting hot sun all day. 15c and rain from about 11am all days today.

Not that unusual in some ways, remember in E'lys you're in non stop sun, while I'm in chilly north sea mist, often in April to Mid June, NW is best place to be

It's definitely more likely in late spring/early summer than it is later on in the summer but still not that common.

Yes unusual indeed especially as the wind has been westerly today which usually isn’t the best wind direction for our region but a westerly can often bring clear sunny skies and high UV levels like it has done today even if the temperatures aren’t that high.

Making the most of it as by the time we get through to August it will probably be the other way around, the SE will be in the mid 20s and sunny while we be overcast, drizzly and 16°. The SE to NW split tends to be weakest at the start of the summer and strongest at the end of the summer, as things go more zonal.
