Very high uv levels today. Hopefully I will get a nice tan. ☀️

I noticed myself in the mirror and I'm pretty lobster looking right now. I really hope I didn't burn, I was wearing sunscreen. I'm going to get some higher factor stuff tomorrow I think.

Can best be described as pleasant here. Nice blue skies. A few fluffy clouds. But the cold front yesterday just introduced cool air and when the sun goes behind a cloud it doesn't feel all that warm. Hopefully tomorrow delivers something resembling warmth/heat.

We made it to a pleasant 25C so it did pretty well today.

25c is pathetic!...I demand 38.7c!!..anything less is a waste of my time!! ...now I’m off back to the model output discussion!!!!

Now that was a true hot day and was genuinely newsworthy.

25 Celsius is certainly warm but it isn't really all that hot at all... just a nice summers day. Talk about a huge overreaction from the newspapers and some members of the public. In fact, whenever we get to 20 Celsius we are apparently hotter than *insert country here*

You've been very unlucky considering you're in the south, it's been above 20 most days this month here.

I'm directly on the coast so seabreezes have kept it cooler

Bit on the cool side for me chap. I think I might be in a better mood tomorrow!  Looking good. 26c. England v Croatia.  A few beers. I was gonna say excitement at Edgbaston but what a bunch of clowns today ! Feel sorry for anyone with a ticket for Sunday.  Shocking!

No sea breeze here today and that meant the official max was 24.6C today.

A very nice summers day here. A maximum of 17.6°C so pretty much bang on the June average here. A fairly brisk west to northwesterly wind stopped the temperature rising higher, despite having almost unbroken sunshine. ? It felt a bit chilly in any shade/breeze, but very warm in the strong June sun. Very high uv levels today. Tommorow forecast to be warmer at 23°C but the wind will switch to a southerly, so we will probably drag more high cloud and haziness off the continent, rather than the clear blue skies we’ve had today, thanks to the fresh Atlantic air. Monday forecast to be cool and mostly cloudy, Tuesday and Wednesday partly cloudy and warm with highs of 22/23°C.

I just wish we could keep high pressure but have it setup in a way that a brings the mean flow from the west/north west, that way you get lots of sunshine, clear blue skies, high uv levels and nice cooling breezes and comfortable temperatures, none of that humid, polluted continental air.

A reasonable day today in the end. 22.3 °C and a good amount of sunshine once the cloud finally cleared off around lunchtime. Certainly warm enough for an ice cream during my long walk. (I had cunningly planned it so that there was a village with a PO in the middle of the route!) Tomorrow looks like a better day for just lazing in the garden with a cool drink and a book. Seemingly a one-day wonder, though.

Fairly standard summer weather in London reaching low to mid 20s, which is just in the "warm" category IMO. Could reach "very warm" tomorrow/Monday/Wednesday but not looking "hot" just yet. Nowhere near the mid to high 30s of recent years.. now that's "hot"!

I think any temp above 15 Celsius would be boiling to Markyo.

The bbc weather watchers website classes temps between 16 and 20°C as “warm” and 21 - 30°C as “hot”!

Edit: Poor old Lerwick at 13°C! I always feel sorry for them they don’t know what hot weather feels like bless em. I love how they always include them on weather maps even though there’s probably more sheep than people up there lol.

13 to 16c is warm when your active , but cold when your idle.

I agree, anything above 21'c is too warm for working in, I love the sunny weather though without the heat, especially during working week.  I'm glad tomorrow looks to be a bit cooler up here.

They can keep that 30'C darn sarf.

Here's my Summer daytime temperature scale as a hot spot dweller:

<13c, disaster of a day weather wise

13c - 16c, very cool but not bad if you're active

16c - 20c, cool but okay in sheltered spots

20c - 23c, comfortable but still on the cool side in wind or out the sun

23c - 27c, warm and very pleasant

27c - 32c, very warm especially in the sun or when active. Some considerations and care needed to avoid dehydration.

32c - 36c, hot, beginning to get uncomfortable and activities become restricted.

>36c, very hot! Regular breaks needed if active and ability to concentrate becomes difficult after a while. Appetite also reduced.

Humidity is of course important. In high humidity (dew points >18c) you could move the descriptions up one line.

Conversely In very dry air (dew point <10c) plus wind, you could move the descriptions down a line. An example being 31st July 2020, 37c but quite manageable!
