Here it's overcast but I'm forecast to have a slight chance of thunder anywhere from Midday to 4pm so I'm keeping hopeful. Unfortunately the clouds are gonna be here all day which will limit it slightly.

funny thing to say but we didn't get any storms here but on and off bits of rain especially when it got dark. But when I was getting in bed at 12:30am, I was all cosy inside and about 20mins later rain started to fall exactly on my window edge and it gave me a jumpscare, I've never been scared from rain before

The radar showed lightning not far from here yesterday but didn't see any or get any thunder, some structure shots IMG_20210517_144822.thumb.jpg.0505e5185b72b118f36f02e00a4166e9.jpgIMG_20210517_145120.thumb.jpg.63bf0f128799c0d988be0fe1f7b507a3.jpgIMG_20210517_145435.thumb.jpg.5da2c14e54b031fdf2d5ce615a21d6d3.jpg

Second downpour of the day. Stuck in the office so my view is limited, but pretty messy/ragged structure looking out the window.

Wow! Thanks for sharing @mickblue. Sounds like a bit of a hair raising experience. Couldn’t begin to say really what winds might have been involved.

You should however consider reporting this to Torro

Thanks, I have submitted a report to Torro.

Still no thunder here  this year yet, although we had some useful rain from showers recently. Sunny here at the moment, but I saw this cb top in NW quadrant a few minutes ago.

All the pre afternoon cumulus now fading, and more pronounced towering cumulus taking over with many breaking the cap now. Expecting the best to erupt in the next two hours of peak heating. Got my eye on that lot heading over the midlands as it tracks East.

Convection very scattered now and appears to have stalled somewhat. Lots of sunshine. Less than yesterday so far.

Area has merged into one big long line of rain. Looks like i'm in for a disgustingly wet couple of hours.

Extremely humid with warm and muggy breeze in Southampton, dark clouds to my west and north, feels charged to me. Fingers crossed for some nice storms

Very small cell popped up over Doncaster with an incredibly intense rain/hail core.  Absolutely tiny, one flash and bang and moved away.  Noticeable on radar too.

Rapid towers shooting up all around particularly looking north and east so could well be an interesting afternoon towards the Humber.

A storm passed by an hour ago. Managed to see a few flashes and hear some deep rumbles.

Here’s a picture of the CB as it moved away.
