Can anyone see that cell entering S Lincs? Interesting right movement on that over the last half hour, and with a decent hailcore on it.. wish we had a Doppler radar employed over here!

Looked as if it was heading straight up into Lincoln. Any idea on the right hand movement?

Can often be a sign that a storm is developing supercell characteristics when it deviates to the right. The Americans colloquially use the term ‘right mover’.

Looks like a Monster storm in Merseyside and connect to the cells in the Midlands.

Personally I MUCH prefer our French imports down here to homegrown pulse storms, so I'm not too jealous - it's just actually getting the French imports that's been the problem over the last couple of years!

Yes they are rare, last time a good one hit here was July 2017.

How sickening  for you, it passed over Crosby.

Stills and Nash next in line? Sorry, I think I've had too much sunshine!

Well not too bad. had some Hail and one very close positive strike and some other distant rumbles but was always on the south eastern edge. Crosby got battered according to my dad. Oh well. Still time for more.

Massive chunky cumulus to my north.  It's producing radar echoes SW of Peterborough and I can see a bit of pileus on one of the updrafts as well.

This is how the skies were looking here a hour ago with a patch of mammatus dropping from the skies overhead, just the two rumbles of thunder from a strike a few miles away to the east at around 1pm'ish but it's otherwise been a quiet (but soggy) afternoon so far.

I left Brumcam alone for half a day.....but, and I should have known this,  By the Law of Sod.....all of a sudden Brum becomes lightning alley

Not complaining though.. I got to see my first strikes of the season and cracks of thunder, sitting in a beer garden in Halesowen

Looks like something quite juicy is brewing again to my south.

This is producing lightning now, with a massive pileus on top!

Come on storm, it's looking likely that the one currently north of Birmingham has the Peak District's name on it.
