Pretty sure I can see some CB’s attempting to blow up in that band of approaching precip! And there’s also some Altocumulus Castegrimslius going on

There's a blast from the past

Some lightning detected in a heavy shower not far from me. Haven't heard any thunder yet.

There were forecasts for a low chance of ⚡

Nice captures Zak M

Unlikely today but considering how much has been bubbling up in France in recent days and still enough CAPE today maybe a Clipper or some lightning in the distance on some webcams so I'm keeping my eyes looking at lightning maps.

When you read; "Kent Clipper" and "Not much energy to tap into" combined with "Severe over the near continent"  You know how this will play out.

Very little being said about it so unless by some godly change of fortune we get a nice surprise, expectations for me are very low.

A casual eye this evening because I still can't help it either way!

At the beach, can see the tops of clouds from France, depending on how long long we stay might get some pictures of them when they're closer at around 5pm hopefully.

Lightning in the showers expected in the evening/night. Probably won't stay but all it takes is one big storm.

Fingers crossed

Not liking the amount of ridging of the Azores High in the models.

It does make for some really nice summer weather and not too much overbearing heat or humidity, but it doesn't make for any plumes or other thundery-type set-ups.

You can see that at best it's going to be multicellar at best with hopefully a main storm with some frequent lightning with it but unlikely.

That last image does look like former Supercells lol, not really expecting much, will most likely stay continental.

Maybe a shower or two between 6-10am tomorrow, if that.
