I think they'll die before they hit Britain unfortunately

That N Caen storm in France is a "H",...not going to say the word as it's a bad omen

Starting to go really dark over to my South west… Still got a feeling that this could be a bust.

I’m gonna take the dog for a quick walk… Just incase. Lol

Such a shame about the rest of the ingredients, as there's a 17°C dew point here.

The stuff leaving France is steering away from the UK.

Shame about the complete lack of storms today, but as someone else said at least nobody is really missing out.

Despite the CAPE being normal and relatively close to ours on the Models France has had big storms again and that's what makes me feel that Thursdsay into Friday might not be such a busy for some people in the South East a shame for the. South West, a lot of them haven't had a storm in ages.

This showing a possible (if unlikely but this is the best chance we've really got seemingly) storm chance.

About tonight for a Kent Clipper, I reckon keep an eye on it but don't get too excited.

There was never gonna be anything today, a 10% chance if that. But people on this group hype it so much and go out chasing in their car if they see a cumulus cloud and then moan that nothing happened lol

Really dark to my south west as well and extremely muggy. I can’t see anything happening though either tbh. Might be pleasantly surprised though. Will be peed off with just rain though, as I wanted a bbq this evening haha

Wouldn't say that anyone in this forum hyped it up as I did not see any of that happening.

Pretty sure I could make out the CB top of that Belgium storm earlier driving home from work, on the very far SE horizon. So far, that’s the closest we’ve got to getting one! Hoping some of us may see some activity, but as suggested by the experts on here, it’s a messy, complex scenario, and we may not see anything substantial at all.

Only crumb of comfort i can give you all is that there appears to be showers developing behind the band in the S midlands, whether these will produce any lightning or not is another question, lets see what happens.

Some cells are showing on radar southwest of London.

Looked outside and low and behold there is some nice chunky convection going on to the North East.

Pretty sure I can see some CB’s attempting to blow up in that band of approaching precip! And there’s also some Altocumulus Castegrimslius going on
