Och well, the Triangle of Doom once again lives up to its name: absolutely nothing!

It's dismal, isn't it?

Oh well, only a few more months and we can look forward to the disappointment of 2022...

Yup! I committed at about 15:30 so could hardly cancel two hours later saw a fab stormscape over London on the way there though and a couple of rumbles before I left that’s more than many had today so I certainly won’t complain.

It was pretty good thunderstorms.  Gym is life-long huh? At least Storms are easy to come by

There are no flashers around here tonight, Zak. It's as dead as a dodo!

Dont know about flashers but witnessed a few flashes. It has certainly been an interesting day. Although no direct hits saw enough 'action' to keep the interest going. Lovely cloudscapes and had to stop/start gardening jobs a few times because of sudden downpours.

Looks like tomorrow could be the same so here's looking forward to it. (One of the benefits of working outside is seeing the weather first hand) . Take care and stay safe all...

I know, don’t! It was painful (but then so was the class!!). It’s only May so hopefully there’ll be more to come

Timelapse from today. Some rotation can be seen near the chimney directly in front at around 16:20.

Same again today then, some impressive cloudscapes and afternoon storms! Not bad.

Sun is fully out this morning compared to yesterday in these parts, hopefully priming the atmosphere a bit more.

Ah, another thick blanket of cloud.

Wouldn't mind seeing the sun again, however briefly.

Still, the outside chance of a promise of a "weak thunderstorm" has got me all revved up.....

Hi All - long time lurker but thought you would be interested to know I witnessed a tornado yesterday near Princes Risborough Bucks.  I could see rotation at the base of an approaching cell and then all hell let loose.  I could feel the wind rush through the house which was quite bizarre and alarming, and could also see debris and some unfortunate birds swirling around in the column of air.  No damage to the house but the garden was a bit of a mess.  Some damage in the local area, mainly to farm buildings.  The pictures are of a mature horse chestnut tree that was growing in what remains of the fenced enclosure.  It was snapped off below ground and dumped 30+ meters away in different directions.

Any ideas what windspeed would be required to do that?

Today looks largely similar to yesterday.

I think the most potent stuff will skirt along the south coast with another batch around W London due to some sausages of convergence mid afternoon.

My eye is drawn to a slightly stronger area of convergence around mid-wales transferring east and also around the humber.

 BEHOLD

My paint job masterpiece.

Wow! Thanks for sharing @mickblue. Sounds like a bit of a hair raising experience. Couldn’t begin to say really what winds might have been involved.

You should however consider reporting this to Torro

Will be another dry day around here thanks to wind direction. South and east having fun again… oh but they don’t get any storms apparently. Preparing myself for many more days like this.

We still don't get any storms. Yesterday the storms split to the south and north.
