Rumbles from both the South and the North throughout my lunchtime walk. Here's a pic from a developing cell to the NW. A good day for dark bases contrasted with brilliant white updrafts

A cell that passed close to me just collapsed before my eyes.

Decent Shelf cloud over Gravesend, Kent Saturday night, no lightning, associated gusts or even rain, just a silent shelf.
Still kicking myself for not following my gut feeling and walking to the top of the hill where I live so I would've got some great structure earlier, but took this out my window so easiest chase ever, just had to walk upstairs!

That's an absolutely stunning photo. I would give my left arm to ever see anything like that.

Well, that was fun. 3 massive cracks of thunder and then a downburst of massive raindrops and hail

Aww man! Thanks I hope you get something soon.
I guess I'm spoilt by years of chasing in the U.S but nice to get something in my hometown again.

a moderate downpour as it passes over - going by the radar, heavier cores to the north and south and i've passed through the gap in the middle typically.

one distant clap of thunder. Guess that technically makes today a thunder day and my first of the year.

Just come over pitch black from the West and now chucking it down which is typical as I need to go out shortly.

Possible thunder heard too, but I can’t say for certain.

That's a very nicely defined cluster heading for Poole

I think that's it now for me - everything seems to be transferring east.

So far everything dodging these parts (usually flows from WNW are good for this area). Wall of thundery downpours now moving through W London so I may get lucky in a little while - nice white wall of CBs off to my WNW
