Seems like nocturnal cooling has come into play to help storms intensify this evening.

Must be alot going on, the sferics on my radio are far more active than what is being shown on the lightning maps.

Lightning 14 km away but I think it’s too far east for me.

Absolutely belting little storm here, frequent flashes and loads of IC bolts, and a few extremely loud rumbles

Great start to the season and it's still rumbling off to the North

Enjoyed that too @ChezWeather

Not very often I have seen a night storm around here, but yeah that was a good one that has just passed. Frequent bright flashes with a couple of bangs that sounded positive

Lightning getting more frequent but still just too far away to hear.

Looks like I missed a trick tonight not heading into the Peak District, only had a few rumbles here and dark skies to the West.

Guessing @Supacell has been in the midst of the action?!

Yes I have . Just heading home now from several hours of chasing. Plenty of footage to edit.

I can see that storm from King’s Lynn!! It’s amazing how far you can see when the conditions are perfect!

I remember seeing lightning from that storm over Crewe last August from Peterborough!
