Even warmer than yesterday in spite of a cloudy start, Max of 24.2 C just 0.6 C below the record for March set in 2012.

It will be quite a shock tomorrow and over Easter by the look of most charts.

A very mild night with a min of 10.7C gave way to a day of unbroken sunshine. The max today of 21.2C is the warmest in March in 41 years of records, beating yesterday by 0.6C and the previous 2012 figure by 1.0C.

The wind direction abruptly switched from SW to NE a couple of hours ago and the temp has plummeted to 14.7C now. Still ironically 4C above the average max for the time of year.
