Stayed overcast all day although the temperature did get up to 17.9⁰C at 14:45 but the rainfall also increased to 3.6mm for the day.

Did anyone see Catch My Dragon on his tour of destruction today?

Lovely goldilocks day, not too warm, not too cold and dry.

A bit of sunshine but in the main it was cloudy with a half-hearted attempt at a decent sunset.

Got to say, you moan at the Scottish weather but in reality it's a very mellow beast compared to the horrendous conditions in the Mediterranean at the moment.  There just seem to be so many chaotic weather conditions being reported in the last few weeks, is it really getting worse or is it just the media reporting it more as the Covid situation eases (for the UK at least).

We still haven't had serious rain here, just short showers. Weather an awful lot better than it was in the last hoose, I should've sublet that place to Mair Snaw!

Horrible heat for Spain and the Med, I find it hard to cope with anything over 20c.

It's the massive liquorice allsorts laying machine. There's one on the Lanark Road A73 that lays huge pink marshmallows.

Heavy rain earlier. Cool 15.3C.

A beautiful day here. Sunshine and warmth, whats not to like. Been Morrisons for a big shop and cider.. think i may have spent more on cider than food.

Another very useable day.

Dry here, but you could see there were showers loitering with intent towards the west as evidenced here at Alford...

Scraped a max of 18.0c, with a strong SSW wind blowing most of the day.

Skew t for tomorrow in Aboyne looks a day of heavy showers for our north east residents such as @Quinach, can see just how moist it is all the way up to about 13,000 feet could be a bit of thunder around too F5DAEF9F-088C-4396-90D9-AF6354A12E8A.thumb.png.c47c277fa49a0040833cf98db10af536.png

Yesterday was cool, occasionally wet and generally cloudy until teatime when everything cleared up, warmed up and brightened up, so much so that 7pm found me in the beer garden at the pub, lapping up the sun and several fine pints of heavy ale.

Today also cool and cloudy with a maximum temperature of 17.4⁰C at 15:52 up from a minimum of 11.8⁰C at 00:01, humidity is 74%, wind 0 to 13mph westerly, pressure is 1014.8hPa steady, there’s been 4.0mm of rain in the last 24 hours and cloud cover is 7/8.

Think the swifts have gone from the house so my definition of high summer is over. Fields of winter barley and oilseed rape have been cut in the last two days and with cooler temperatures its definitely feeling autumnal.

Very pleasant day at Stonehaven, max around 20c going by the car thermometer.

Mix of cloud and sunny intervals, you could see showers passing by to the north but it stayed dry in the town.

For those into omens... last time we (raith) knocked Aberdeen out the cup was 2010 ❄ not done that much research (tbh I'm not a big believer in the seasonal forecasts we see so many surprise weather events year round all over the world) but I think the qbo is looking a bit less troubling than last year and there are model predictions for a weak pv going into winter.

It was warm enough today around lunchtime when the sun came out but coolish otherwise under a generally overcast sky.

Maximum temperature was 17.4⁰C at 13:30 up from a minimum of 8.8⁰C at midnight, humidity was 94% at 00:43 reducing to 70% at 13:22, wind has been 0 to 8mph northwesterly, pressure 1009.4hPa steady, there’s been no rain today and cloud cover had varied from 2/8 to 8/8.

Bit early for winter chat methinks… let’s enjoy the lingering summer and the gathering storms of autumn first.

Not much in the way of sunshine but it stayed dry until teatime, then the heavens opened with a torrential shower of rain lasting around 20mins - alas no crash bang action.

Another heavy shower ongoing now.

Max of 18c with light W veering NW winds.

I'm not a fan of autumn - I'd rather go straight from a long summer into winter. But it does feel like summer is ending, cool misty mornings down here but then hot sunny spells later in the day.
