Looking a wee bit further ahead…risk of some thundery rain/torrential downpours through Wednesday evening/overnight into Thursday.
All subject to change at this timeframe! @Kirkcaldy Weather are you seeing anything regarding this?

Back in the office tomorrow - low 20’s and plenty of sunshine forecast! Only plus for me…it’s still warm in the evening and hopefully sunny!

If you are not working tomorrow - enjoy! ☀️

All the best!

Will see what's showing once its on the higher resolution wrfs but at the min looks like a lack of CAPE and it looks different to the usual plumes with the forecast movement of the low more of a SE > NW movement west of UK whereas we would normally get more SW > NE and through the UK

The cloud has been more reluctant to break today but hints of brightness are just starting now. Currently cloudy with the sun trying to poke through at 11C.

Had some high cloud but that seems to be melting away. Looks like it gonna be a crackerjack of a afternoon (keep saying that and it doesn't go to plan)!

Another gloriously sunny day.  Fog again first thing, this being reluctant to clear and only dissipating at 9am.

The SE wind is even stronger than yesterday, now very gusty and having a marked effect on the temperature - currently 17c, whereas yesterday we were hovering around 22c at this time.

In the sun though very nice indeed.

Wind doing the opposite here keeping sea  fog away and pushing the temperature to 23c just now

Hoed veg patch this morning and weeds shrivelled in an hour. Will  really help to dry the still wet fields.

Cattle just loving it too lying flat out in the sun.

Up in Lewis on holiday. Wonderful day, topping out at 21c in a fair breeze. Looks like the haar has come and gone back home but certainly not missing it!

We are going up there in July via Glen Affrick and Skye. Tell them to keep this weather going into July for a change. Last time were in the Outer Hebridies in July there was a strong to gale force Northerly/NWesterly that lasted a week bringing rain and showers with temps if around 10C.

Is that possibly Hushinish or Uig in the beach pic?

The last few days have been fantastic with some seasonal weather at long last. May is normally one of the best months of the year for weather but this month was more like October with pretty cool, damp, dull and unsettled weather. Hopefully this summer is more like 2018, 2013 or 2006 and it’d be nice to have some decent weather for the football.

I’ve totally lucked out with the weather. It’s been amazing with temperatures in the 18-21c range and plentiful sunshine. The beach was Eoropie near Butt of Lewis.

Not the clear blue skies of yesterday. Quite a lot of cloud around might break up?

Oh. Didn't recognise the wee island off the beach in your photo. My grandparents are buried in the graveyard on the machair above the South side of Eoropie and my great grandfather, a fisherman  drowned in a storm just round the corner in Cunndal bay. https://thecroft.wordpress.com/2010/12/02/cunndal/

Here a warmer start to the day without cloud. Temps already nearly 4C above yesterdays max at 17.9C
