Back to heavy snow. We seem to get more snow in April than the whole of winter.

struggling to settle though.

Light snow shower on here after an afternoon of endless flurries of snow and graupel. Not a single one lasting more than a few minutes and mostly light. Nice to see flakes falling but otherwise a decent sunny day.

Turned moderate here but with the sun still peaking through it looks fantastic!

Edit: Over but left a visible covering on the hill behind the house!

Another chilly start but first morning out of the last 9 without snow.

-6c overnight is extreme for here at sea level.

currently 3.3c with a dew point of 0.6c. Flat calm (yes, no wind in this part of the western isles ), unending blue skies and sunshine.

should be a good day.

Looking at those low temps across Scotland and other parts of the United Kingdom during the first 12 days of April, must be close to an extreme cold spell for the time of year .  Overall you lot seem to have had a lot of frosty nights up north !

Got down to -2C here overnight - quite impressive!

We just had our coldest April night since 2013!

Yesterday threw up a mix of sunshine, freezing rain, hail and snow. Today there isn't a cloud in the sky. What a beautiful morning.

Temperature 3.3deg.C up from an overnight minimum of -5.5deg.C at 06:40, humidity is 74%, wind 0 to 1mph south-southeasterly, pressure is 1030.0hPa rising slowly, there's been no precipitation today, cloud cover is non-existent and the dew point is at -1deg.C.
